John is a nationally recognized thought leader in the practice of green real estate, green and environmental program innovation and education, a pioneer in training and mentoring of real estate professionals on green practices, resource efficient homes and energy efficiency strategies & applications. He has trained more than 4,000 real estate professionals in the practice of green real estate and green building fundamentals. In 2014, the National Association of REALTORS^® (NAR) awarded him with its national Evergreen Award and named him its NAR Green Instructor of the Year. John holds his MS degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Human Behavior and the Environment.
